Multi-storey redevelopment at Axa Tower in Palmerston North
A refurbishment job with specs that can change as the project progresses is one of the many challenges faced by Wallace Development Company Limited’s Matthew McKinnon on a regular day.
One such large-scale development was the Axa Tower refurbishment in Palmerston North. It comprises nine floors of office spaces and apartments that were progressively being outfitted floor-by-floor, and as the job moved on different tenants’ needs meant design changes along the way.
Chilltech was brought in to install the air-conditioning plant for the building – a VRV system designed specifically for this type of multi-storey project.
Matthew says Chilltech’s resources and expertise were invaluable in tackling a job like this where the ability to be able to take the project through from design to build meant plan changes could be absorbed and accommodated.
